We work with family service centres to allow needy clients and ex-offenders to shop for free under our Pay-It-4ward Programme. These items will then be made available to the underprivileged in our communities. Instead of throwing them away, Siloam Thrift Store is a great place where you can donate your preloved items. If we were to declutter, we could find ourselves with items that we do not even remember purchasing. We end up with purchases that fill our storerooms to the brink. In the developed and prosperous Singapore that we live in, we are bombarded with advertisements to consume more.
